Desiring God is not a book that you can just sit down and read, then get up and get going with life again. This book will make you think and ponder how you are living your life and it will make you test your faith and make you question if you are truly living life, like it is supposed to be lived. This book is not a book that you can just sit down and read chapter after chapter either. It is a book that at least for me took several sittings and two months to read. Piper starts out with the basics of conversion and worship,then works his way through all the different sectors of life including love, prayer, marriage, money, missions, and suffering. This book has impacted me greatly! This book was an eye opener for me and I highly suggest reading it!
